As you can see from the title, this is about to be an EXTREMELY deep post, so get ready!
Let's start by discussing Sanaa Lathan. She's an extremely diverse actress in my eyes. She can portray a character who everyone LOVES (Brown Sugar, Love & Basketball), as well as everyone hates (A Family That Preys). That in my eyes is a flexible and awesome actress, off topic but anyway, you get the point.
So, in Brown Sugar, Sanaa Lathan plays the PERFECT black woman. Great career, driven, ambitious, beautiful, all a man could ever want in a woman! Yet, she's alone. About to move back to her native town of NYC to be editor of XXL Magazine. She has been in love with her "best friend" Dre (Diggs) for fucking EVER, but admitted she was too scared to attempt anything for sake of her career. Dre describes his fiancee (which Lathan's character painfully witnessed the propasal) as "Brown Sugar". Everything his fiancee seemingly appeared was everything Sidney, Sid for short (Lathan's character) was. Though Dre ultimately discovered Sid was indeed his "Brown Sugar" and they lived happily ever after yada yada; many black men do not notice the brown sugar that their queens truly are!
Which brings me back to my topic of intent, crossing COLOR LINES for the sake of L-O-V-E. We've seen many a celeb do such (i.e. Tamera Mowry--my LOVE, Rapstress Eve, Halle Berry, Garcelle Beavais Nilon,Robin Thicke, Dirk Nowitzki and many more), but when everyday people do the same, why is it WW3? From a young black woman's perspective, I can see how and why some young black women may tiptoe across color lines of all types as an experiment and ultimately discovering 'the one'. MY main question is, do black men today push and push black women away from them into the arms of a man who belongs to another race?
How the majority of young black men behave now-a-days, it takes a toll on black women. "When a woman's fed upppp...." All R.Kelly. Increasing statistics of bi-racial relationships, resulting in offspring (duh right?), can show what I am asking. Not only are black women being pushed into the arms of men of other races, but women as well. Yeah, sometimes a man can damage a woman so bad she says to hell with men as a whole, I want some vagina now. Well perhaps not as ignorant as I have just put it. But I'm drunk and ratchet at the moment---please forgive me.
As a whole for the population of black people it is manifest----one drop of black blood makes ya black! Therefore, our population is ever growing. Who (REALLY) run the world!!!! K, back out Beyonce Mode. Sometimes, we are wondering, well "what if?" due to many things such as not only stereotypes but just curiosity. My Nana (God rest her soul) would always say
Temptation and anger (God forgive me!) inspired this post. Just a humble/satirical perspective of mine.

Curiosity killed the cat...but satisfaction brought him back!Admittedly, I have been tempting to try "Something New" and venture up the street from my beloved HBCU to the local PWI to see what the hype/diffrenece/benefit brought. Alas, I love my people---and my MEN, FAR too much to give up on them.
