Leading vs Following

At my school I took on a leadership position to show around our new students and make them feel welcome. Going thru our training, we also have to follow. A good leader must also know how to follow. If they don't then, how can they truly be a good leader? Makes you think some huh?
My main point basically is you have to see from others perspectives while attempting to lead someone. If someone who was your peer who was guiding you and was talking down to you, how would you respond? How would that make you feel? Just some food for thought when you want to lead someone or are considering it..
