Why don't we see more marriages in black films? (Aside from the hysterical Jumping the Broom of course) This is a random thought that just occurred while finishing one of my favorite movies, Love & Basketball There was a big gap in the story-line for me. Okay, we see Monica and Quincy getting back together after he utters "Double or Nothing" after triumphing over her in one on one. Prior to this, he was engaged to a flight attendant. This wedding was being planned, they prepared to join as one as clearly shown when he went to his childhood room to retrieve items as Monica painfully watched "the other woman" try to take away pieces of who Quincy was into their new life together. (May I add to the SOULFUL crooning of Holding Back the Years by Angie Stone!
